Welcome to the Medical Department Master Guidelines! The Medical Department of the SCP Foundation is a collective of the highest-regarded doctors, nurses, and paramedics, following a saying within its parts: Primum non nocere. We dedicate to the wellbeing and safety of every Foundation personnel, from Class-D to The Administrator. This document is designed to familiarize you with the procedures, regulations, and duties of the Medical Department. Within the guidelines, there are three pages of the guidelines: Information, Code of Conduct and Procedure Overview. members of MD are expected to be familiar with the guidelines. Links to each section can be found below.
Section II > Chain of Command
The Rank Hierarchy is counted as a Chain of Command as well as a guide of requirements for various promotions.
Medical Central Command - Security Class 4

The director of the department, they oversee all of the Medical Department’s operations.
Handpicked by the Overseer.
Medical High Command - Security Class 3
Board of Medicine 〢CAP: 4
The Board of Medicine is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Medical Department as well as their subdivisions within the department.
Has shown resilience, dedication, integrity, and consistent activity whilst in their position as a Lead Physician.
Handpicked by the Medical Directorate.
Medical Medium Command - Security Class 2
Lead Physician 〢CAP: 8
The second lowest command rank within the department, these people have represented the leadership skills necessary to assist in running the entirety of the department. Lead Physicians are responsible for hosting trainings, issuing punishments and ensuring the department operates smoothly.
Demonstrated worth to command via a consistent display of leadership and synergy with their fellow members of command.
Medical Junior Command - Security Class 2
Senior Physician
Senior Physicians are some of the most experienced members of the department and should be looked to for any questions regarding on-site operation.
Has earned (x600) Medical Credits.
Has conducted (x1) case study.
Has logged (x57) hours of total on-site activity.
Has passed an interview hosted by a Lead Physician+.
Has completed the probationary command phase.
Has been in the department for (x40) days.
Medical Personnel - Security Class 1
Physician
Physicians are experienced members in their field within the Medical Department, they’re proven members of a subdivision, or have proven to be capable members of the department.
Has logged (x32) hours of total on-site activity.
Has earned 300 Medical Credits.
Resident
Residents are the standard medical staff within the Medical Department. They are responsible for the heavy lifting of Medical Support within the department and tend to be the highest in number.
Has logged (x12) hours of total on-site activity.
Has earned (x100) Medical Credits.
Nurse
Nurses are graduates of Medical School and are typically inexperienced in the field but have a grip of the department’s operations and know how to conduct them.
Has attended/passed (x1) Medical Orientation.
Has logged (x2) hours of total on-site activity.
To check your on-site activity, you can use the /activity command in #bot-commands.
Has been in the department for a minimum of 3 Days.
Has passed the Final Exam.
Medical Student
Medical Students are entry-level members of the department who have just passed their applications. They will need to go through rigorous training to understand the essentials of the medical system, along with their general role on-site.
Has had their Medical Student application accepted.
Section III > Medical Credits
Credits are acquired through various different ways, whether it’s through conducting appointments such as checkups, observations, interviews, and case studies or through attending events such as rallies, gamenights, and seminars. Activity events are monthly events that award the top 5 people with awards such as medical credits & credit shop prizes.
Credits are used to gain promotions; you need a certain number of credits in order to climb through the ranks. For example, in order to be promoted to a physician from a resident, one would need 300 credits.
It’s important to note that Medical Credits do NOT reset between promotions!

Section IV> Medals
The Medical Department offers a variety of different medals for medical personnel who go above and beyond. Each individual medal has different criteria that have to be met in order to be awarded. If you met the criteria for one of the following medals, gather evidence and make a request in #request-hub.
Always On-Call Medal
Earned by having the most activity in a month.
Tireless Tryhard Medal
Earned by having 24 hours on-site within a week.
Furiously Fast Medal
Earned by attending a speed healing competition and taking 25 seconds or less to heal.
Harrowing Heroics Medal
The top three individuals with the most dangerous medical department gameplay displaying heroism can earn this.
A channel is opened once a month for a week and is voted upon.
Appointment Accolade
Earned by having ten five-star appointments within a week.
Eager Escorter Medal
Earned by escorting twenty scientific tests within a week.
Seminar Savant Medal
Earned by hosting the most seminars within a week.
Perfect Participant Medal
Earned by participating in five or more events in a row.
Medical Mastery Medal
Earned by perfect performance within a event.
Section V > First Aid Stations
The First Aid Station is a location of interest utilized by the Medical Department to restock on supplies. Besides the Medical Department, these stations are utilized by Foundation Personnel if there is a lack of staffing in Medical Staff (3 or less).

The Medical Department Student Guidelines hold information relating to Medical Students and Medical School - the first steps of becoming part of the Medical Department.
