How do I join the Emergency Medical Services?

• To join the Emergency Medical Services, you must be in the Medical Department. Tryouts are usually announced every 1-3 months, depending on the need for new paramedics or a significant wait for them.

  • You must have attended a medical orientation before entering tryouts.

  • You must be at the rank of Nurse before they finish.

When can EMS use their firearms?

• EMS can use their firearms for a variety of reasons. In a simplified version, EMS personnel may use their weapons to neutralize hostile individuals as a last resort in defense of their patients, themselves, or other civilian personnel. EMS personnel may also issue warning shots to hostiles who pose a threat to their duties or their patients.

  • When classifying "last resort", EMS should only use their firearms to down hostiles if said hostiles are posing a significant threat to themselves or their patients, and non-lethal methods of defusal cannot be applied.

EMS just shot me for no reason, where can I report them?

• There are two methods of reporting paramedics that you believe have used their firearms outside of reasonable use:

  • Direct DM: EMS Command always has their Discord DMs open for reports. This is the most direct and quickest way to inform EMS Command of the firearm abuse.

  • MD Tickets: We understand you may not know any EMS Command, or what their discords are. As an alternative, you are fully permitted to send clips to MD Command through the Terminal bot. MD Command will be happy to assist you by forwarding the evidence to EMS Command.

What do the Emergency Medical Services do?

• The Emergency Medical Services are the first responders of the medical department onsite; EMS personnel are paramedics, specialized to perform various duties, such as emergency response, field triage, Delta-1 protection assistance, and mass casualty situations.
