How do I join the Emergency Medical Services?

• To join the Emergency Medical Services, you must be in the Medical Department. Applications are sent out on a supply-demand basis. Times are never guaranteed and are decided upon when EMS Command deems new members necessary.

  • You must retain the rank of Nurse

  • You must have been in the department for at least two weeks. 

When can EMS use their firearms?

• EMS can use their firearms for a variety of reasons. In a simplified version, EMS personnel may use their weapons to neutralize hostile individuals as a last resort in defense of their patients, themselves, or other civilian personnel. EMS personnel may also issue warning shots to hostiles who pose a threat to their duties or their patients.

  • When classifying "last resort", EMS should only use their firearms to down hostiles if said hostiles are posing a significant threat to themselves or their patients, and non-lethal methods of defusal cannot be applied.

EMS just shot me for no reason, where can I report them?

• There are two methods of reporting paramedics that you believe have used their firearms outside of reasonable use:

  • Direct DM: EMS Command always has their Discord DMs open for reports. This is the most direct and quickest way to inform EMS Command of the firearm abuse.

  • MD Tickets: We understand you may not know any of the EMS Command or their Discord. Alternatively, you can send clips to MD Command through the Terminal bot. MD Command will gladly help you by forwarding the evidence to EMS Command.

What do the Emergency Medical Services do?

• The Emergency Medical Services are the first responders of the medical department onsite; EMS personnel are paramedics, specialized to perform various duties, such as emergency response, field triage, Delta-1 protection assistance, and mass casualty situations.
