Please review this page carefully to ensure you understand the process and can properly conduct Basic Checkups.
Note that Basic Checkups should be conducted professionally and in accordance with all Medical Department guidelines and procedures.
The following section will work as an in-dept guide on how to perform a Basic Checkup.
It is important to always maintain a professional attitude and use a police / friendly language; avoid uing potentially offensive terminology or making questionable jokes. Remind your patient*s that you are not a real medical professionist and any advise given in-game shall not be taken seriously.
To begin with, open the Basic Checkup Template located in section 4 of the Medical Appointments Page.
Once the template is open, look under the title on top left, you will see a "File" section, click on it, and then look for the
"Make a Copy" voice.
Once you copied the document, rename it with:" SCP-F | Basic Checkup ".
Once you obtained a copy of the template, you are free to compile the ocument. Ensure to adapt the title to "Basic Checkup" and then update the:
Recorded on - YYYY/MM/DD
Last Modified - Your username
Date [which may be lore accurate or irl accurate, if so, ensure it's the same as the "Recorded On"]
Time - XX:XX [Hour : Minutes]
Now you are ready to begin your checkup! Reach the CDC Transfer Gate and use the nearby terminal to start your checkup [Only if the checkup involve a Class-D] . Once the CD's / Patients are ready, have them wedge on you with the escort included and take a screenshot. [Ensure to place this SS into the "Doctor & Patient Photo" rectangle]
Now you should ask the patient if they wish for a Public [meaning anyone may spectate and the checkup may be shared with anyone] or a Private [meaning only you, command personnel, the escort, and authoried people by the patient may partake in the checkup; the document may only be shared with MD Command, authorized personnel, and the patient.] Depending on the answer, remove the opposite stamp from the document you are writing.
You may now move on to Section 1.
First of all, change the checkup number from #000 to the corresponding number of your checkup, the number change based on the amount of Basic Checkup you have hosted, so for example, if this is your first Basic Checkup the number shall be #001; if it's your second time, the number shall be #002 an so on...
Now modify the "report is" from pending to either Public or Private depending on the stamp.
Now fill out the "Doctor Information & Attendee Information"
Moving on to the practical part, you should give your patient a very simple memory phrase to keep in mind for the duration of the checkup; keep the sentence short and simple such as "The apples are red."
Once the ptient understood the mamory phrase, position them in front of the vision chart and have them type each letter from the top to the bottom in chat; in the event they miss a letter or get one wrong, have them restart from the previous line.
Each patient should be given 2 / 3 attempts, if no progress are made, on the left side of the chart you may see the corresponding vision level, ensure to indicate on your document the vision corrsponing to the last full row they were able to read without making any mistake.
After a vision check, it's time to control the weight of the patient; have them to step on the scale and check their weight; what we would define as "in line and healthy" shall be a measure within 110 lbs to 145 lbs. Anything lower shall be marked as underweight / severely underweight and anything above shall be marked as overweight / severely overweight.
Give your patient a physical task such as: Run around the Room 3 times, or Jump 5 times. If they succeed in completing your task, modyfy the result on the document from Pending to Passed.
Now ask your patient a simple question, this question should be related to something very simple and of general culture, such as "what's 5+8?" or "what color is the sand?". It could also be a health question such as "How often do you eat vegetables?".
Note their answer down, in the event you decide to report the exact quote of your patient incluing grammar mistakes ensure to specify that so command members will know it's intentional.
Lastly, at the end of your checkup, ask your patient to repeat to you the memory phrase you gave them at the start of the appointment; if they remember it, mark it as "Passed". Any slight change, including the color, or the order of the words will result in them failing to remember the phrase. [Grammar mistakes from the patient shall not be taken in consideration]
Your checkup is now concluded! It is time to write a brief summary of the checkup status in the "Analysis" section. This summary should aim to briefly review how the general health of the patient is and eventually recommand some treatment.
You may now dismiss the patient or read them your analysis. To conclude, sign the checkup with your rank and username.
In the event your checkup was performed on Class-D personnel ensure to use the Terminl located in the medical bay to reward your Class-D. Run the "Reward" command and insert a number within 1 (low) to 10 (high). The number you insert shall not be based on their checkup result, but rather on the level of cooperation they demonstrated during the appointment. Don't forget to include an SS of the given reward in your checkup.
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU OFFICIALLY CONCLUDED YOUR FIRST CHECKUP!
Now submit your checkup in the medical Server by opening a ticket and follow the given instructions. Before submitting, ensure your checkup is set to "Public access" [Simply go on top right, press share, then look for "general access" and set it to:"everyone with the link"]
